Top Diplomats Claim Nuclear Talks with Iran Mark Progress

According to high diplomats, the talks between Iran and the global powers aimed at restoring the landmark 2015 deal have seen a further progress, CNBC informed.

The 2015 agreement was reached to contain Iran’s nuclear development, but was abandoned by Former President Donald Trump and his administration.

The top diplomats also said that now it was up to the governments which are part of negotiating process to make some political decisions.

The meeting was the first official one since Iranian hard-line chief of judiciary claimed victory by a landslide in the country’s presidential elections held last week.

Some of the diplomats involved in the process voiced their concerns that the newly elected leader Ebrahim Raisi could bring complications in the process of restoring the agreement.
