More than one billion people in 190 countries will be celebrating the 40th anniversary of Earth Day this year. Along this theme, Bruce Klein, Ciscos SVP for the U.S. Public Sector organization, joins Focus Washington and shares with us Ciscos vision on environmental sustainability and how are government agencies are using technology to become green. For example, U.S. Postal Service is using collaboration technologies to train its employees remotely, and expects to reduce annual travel costs by approx. $10 million. Also, the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General was the first department in the state to adopt virtualization technologies, and has reduced energy usage by 40%. Agencies can become green while lowering costs, achieving greater energy efficiency, among other benefits.
