NRA to Run TV Ad Campaign Focused on Pressuring Manchin to Oppose ATF Pick

NRA or the National Rifle Association is thinking of buying a $250,000 worth ad in West Virginia in order to respond to US President Joe Biden’s nominee set to lead the federal government’s gun control arm, Fox News informed.

The National Rifle Association is set to run the $250,000 TV campaign in the red state in order to try and convince its residents to contact Senator Joe Manchin and request a “no” vote in the appointment of David Chipman to lead the ATF (Department of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives).

Joe Manchin, a moderate Democrat, still hasn’t revealed if he will stand behind the nominee, who was approved by the Senate Judiciary Committee in a party-line vote held last week.
