Saudi Arabia Worried About Iran’s Lack of Cooperation

Riyadh is concerned about Tehran’s lack of cooperation with the international community on Iran’s nuclear program and ballistic missile development, Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz stressed, Reuters informed.

“We follow with concern the Iranian government’s policies that destabilize regional security and stability, including the creation and support of sectarian militias and the spread of our military power to other countries,” Salman said.

The Saudi monarch also noted that he hopes Iran will change its “negative” behavior in the region and choose dialogue and cooperation.

Saudi Arabia, the main ally of the West in the Persian Gulf, was drawn into a rivalry with Iran in the Middle East, where both sides support opposing groups in several conflicts, including Yemen, Syria, and Lebanon.
