Alejandro Mayorkas, the Homeland Security Secretary once again criticized the horse agents from Border Patrol who made the headlines for blocking Haitian immigrants from getting into the United States, Fox News informed.
Mayorkas claimed that the images displayed the US’s history of systemic racism.
Mayorkas held a press briefing at the White House, where he said that Del Rio images that surfaced on Sunday where agents are turning back Haitian immigrants were in fact, horrifying and that do not show what the Department of Homeland Security is and aspires to become.
He stated that the probe into what actually had happened is still ongoing and that the emerged pictures conjured up the elements of US that are the worst in the constant fight against systemic racism.
