Judge Blocks Vaccine Mandate Imposed by NYC

A judge in the federal appeals court has blocked the Covid-19 mandate issued by New York City, which is scheduled for enforcement on Monday, and covers all the teachers and other members of staff in the NYC Department of Education, Fox News informed.

Before the judge blocked the mandate, it was announced that the Education Department employees who are still unvaccinated would face a suspension without pay.

The Education Department came out with a statement after the court ruling saying that they are confident that their vaccination mandate will, at the end, be upheld because that is what the staffers and students deserve.

The current mandate that requires people to be vaccinated or show a negative PCR test will remain enforced until the new resolution is discovered. More than 82% of the Department of Education received the Covid-19 vaccine and they have urged all their employees to receive a shot.
