Denver Riggleman, who is a former Republican Congressman revealed late on Friday that is set to be part of the House Select committee that investigates the US Capitol insurgence on January 6, Fox News informed.
He said that he will be joining the House Select committee as a senior technical adviser.
Riggleman, who previously served in the Air Force, has represented the 5th District of Virginia for one term but lost to Bob Good, his primary challenger in 2020.
In the video posted on Twitter, Riggleman said that being part of this committee might be one of the biggest things he had done in his career.
He added that it is time to stop worrying about whether someone is Republican or a Democrat, and start searching for facts on what happened on January 6 in the Capitol and prevent another similar episode.
