Republican Senator Tom Cotton from Arkansas claimed that US President Joe Biden’s nominees for the Justice Department’s (DOJ) highest posts show the president’s position on the issue of defunding the police, Fox News informed.
Cotton took to Twitter to slam Biden on Tuesday, calling on Americans to understand what the President wants to say with his actions on the issue of defunding the police, and not just hear his words.
The Arkansas Republican tweeted that Biden chose 2 “defund the police” activists – Vanita Gupta and Kristen Clarke to head the Justice Department.
The tweets of the senator were a response to a related Washington Post article by the fact-checker Glenn Kessler that covers the Republican Party rhetoric of the Biden administration position on the issue of defunding the police.
