Ilhan Omar Says Does Not Regret Comparing US and Israel to Terrorist Organizations

Democratic Representative Ilham Omar from Minnesota said for CNN that she does not regret her comparisons of the US and Israel to the Taliban and Hamas, going so far as to blame her Jewish colleagues for getting issue with her comments, Fox News informed.

In an interview with Jake Tapper from CNN, Omar claimed that her original remarks were taken out of context after Tapper mentioned that Democratic leaders criticized her for comparing Israel and US to terrorist groups, saying that provokes prejudice.

Jewish Democrats from the House of Representatives sent a letter saying her remarks were anti-Semitic in nature.

Republicans pushed a resolution to censure the Squad member for what they called a public support of actions done by organization dabbed as terrorist group.

Tapper asked her if she regretted these remarks, on which she answered that she did not and mentioned her point she was trying to make back then, by addressing Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
