Supreme Court Rejects Bid of Insurers for Reimbursement

The Supreme Court of the US on Monday rejected a hearing of a bid by the health insurance companies that are seeking from the federal government to pay them a full reimbursement, according to a provision covered in ACA that encouraged insurers to offer their services to uninsured US citizens, CNBC informed.

The Supreme Court Justices tossed the appeals filed by Maine Community Health Options, Common Ground Healthcare Cooperative, and Community Health Choice.

The insurers had claimed that they were owed over millions of dollars for not receiving annual payments the federal government vowed to make under the Obamacare. The litigation will proceed in the lower courts and will argue how much can these insurers claim.
