NYC Mayoral Candidate Andrew Yang Endorsed by NYPD Captains Union

Andrew Yang, the NYC Mayoral candidate was endorsed by the NYPD captains union over the leading opponent represented by the same union, Fox News informed.

The NYPD Captains Endowment endorsed Andrew Yang in the race for replacing the current Mayor Bill de Blasio, giving the heavy blow to the New York City democratic frontrunner Eric Adams.

The CEA is a union that represented past and current commanders from the NYPD. The mayoral candidate Adams who is a member of this association, was previous captain in two Brooklyn precincts and one Manhattan precinct.

Evan Thies, a spokesperson for the Adams’ mayoral campaign issued a statement for Fox News, saying that the Democratic frontrunner has made a pledge not to take any endorsements from police unions.

Chris Monahan, the CEA President said that he praised Andrew Yang for wanting to talk with the law enforcement officers as the popularity of the police in New York City is in steep decline.
