US President Joe Biden on Monday stated that the NATO stands in front of some new challenges such as China and Russia, claiming that the Alliance is critically important and essential for the interests of the United States, Fox News informed.
In the headquarters of NATO, Biden reiterated that he seeks to have a constructive and stable relations with the Russian Federation, but will respond to any harmful Russian activities and stand with its allies.
Biden said that over the past couple of years NATO is faced with new challenges such as Russia’s and China’s behaviors.
Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary General, who joined the US President, said that this meeting arrives in a very crucial time for the Alliance, and discussed the threats that China and Russia pose.
