Democrat Gillibrand Reveals Intentions to Run for President Again

Kirsten Gillibrand, a Democratic Senator from New York, revealed her intentions for running the presidential race after she did not managed to met the polling and fundraising threshold in August 2019, Fox News informed.

Gillibrand in an interview with Politico said that she would definitely run for president once again, adding that she had learned so many things in her campaigning on how to be a successful politician, learned the art of public speaking and became better at her job.

Gillibrand also mentioned that now she feels she has more energy to be a senator, after joining forces with the Republican Senator Joni Ernst from Iowa to push a bipartisan legislation to curb military sex crimes. Gillibrand and Ernst’s cooperation in the office made them grow close friendship outside of office as well.

The New York Democrat is also know for calling on Senator Al Franken, a Democrat from Minnesota to resign over misconduct allegations.

Gillibrand also made women issues a main focus in the campaign, that covered curb of sexual harassment, promotion of equal pay for women, and a resolute stance on defending abortion rights.
