Biden Administration Approves Big Sale of Weapons to Israel

US President Joe Biden approved a weapons sale deal with Israel, worth $735 million, which is opposite of some Democratic positions, Fox News informed.

On May 5, Biden administration sent a notice to Congress for the sale, according to some sources. This comes one week before Hamas started firing rockets toward Israel, and the Israeli military launched a severe response.

United States classifies Hamas, an entity that controls the Gaza Strip, as a terrorist organization.

Around 200 Palestinians and 10 Israelis were killed in the most severe battles in seven years between the two sides.

The greatest portion of the sale is for the JDAMS, a joint direct attack munitions, which gives bombs a more precise path and transforms them into guided rockets. Israel stated that they are always trying to avoid civilians while launching air attacks in the Gaza strip.
