Prior to the impending midterm elections this autumn, the Republican National Committee (RNC) has made an effort to engage Asian Pacific American (APA) voters and some other minority communities, Fox News informed.
It has spent millions of dollars opening centers across the nation to do this.
The RNC dedicated its newest APA community center earlier this week in Issaquah, a city in King County, Washington, which, according to most recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau, has a population that is about 25% Asian.
The RNC has “spent millions” in reaching out to and interacting with Asian Pacific Americans prior to the November elections, according to Nainoa Johsens, a spokesman and head of Asian Pacific American Media, in a statement to Fox News Digital.
The campaign has also received support from RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, who stated that the most recent community center to open in Washington “underscores the Republican Party’s ironclad commitment to working with the Asian Pacific American community” in Issaquah.
The RNC constructed additional locations to interact with ethnic American communities before the Issaquah center opened, including two in California, one that was in Berkeley Lake, Georgia, one in Coppell, Texas, and another one in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Republican Civics Initiative, which is aimed at minorities and is intended to help prospective voters get ready for the civics component of the citizenship test, was also introduced by the RNC.
According to a tweet from RNC’s leader of Indian American engagement in Texas, trainings from the initiative were still going on for Indian American legal permanent residents in the community center in Coppell as of late last month.
In a statement to Fox News Digital, Rep. Young Kim, a Korean American serving as a Republican to represent California’s 39th Congressional District in the House, claimed that “more Americans of all backgrounds” are choosing to support Republicans because of financial struggles and worries about public safety.
