Biden has Made his Decision on Supreme Court Nominee

According to two people close to the process, President Joe Biden has made up his mind on a Supreme Court pick to replace outgoing Justice Stephen Breyer, and the announcement may come as early as Friday, Fox News informed.

According to Fox News, the three candidates for the position are Ketanji Brown Jackson, Leondra Kruger, and Michelle Childs, although the sources would not release the name of the selected candidate.

Justice Stephen Breyer revealed his retirement from the Supreme Court at the end of his current term.

Biden has stated that he will nominate a Black woman, saying that such a decision is “long overdue.”

Biden has been chastised for only limiting his choice to appoint a Black woman to the Supreme Court.

Dr. Ben Carson, the former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, slammed Biden last month for taking identity politics into consideration when making his decision on the selection of a Supreme Court nominee.

Carson said during an appearance on WMAL’s “The Vince Coglianese Show,” a local radio program in Washington, D.C., that “this is America.”

He also said that numerous people had fought and given their lives to make society equal for everyone, adding that identity politics would only revert back the country and incite more divisions.
