Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from New York, said that she is responsible for the massive NYC population count, arguing that her organizational effort has incentivized residents to fill the census forms, Fox News informed.
Ocasio-Cortez stated that her campaign gave $3 million and more on multilingual mailers, organizing events and advertisements to encourage her constituents to be part of the census count that happens once in 10 years.
She went on Twitter to say that all the efforts worked, adding that the Bronx and Queens were even top performers.
