Office of DeSantis Says He Never Backtracked on his Stance to Cut Pay of School Officials

Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida slammed the reports that claim that he backtracked his position on the sanctions over face coverings mandates in the schools, Fox News informed.

Politico and The Miami Herald have informed on Friday that the Florida Governor has gone soft in his stance to cut the salaries to school board members who will insist on face coverings to be worn by children in schools.

The reports also said that DeSantis has made a “retreat” after the Alachua and Broward school districts stayed defiant to his threats, adding that his office has acknowledged that the governor had no power over the salaries of the local workers.

However, DeSantis had never said such thing that he will cut the salaries, at least not directly.
