Supreme Court Conservative Judge Says Federal Laws for Marijuana Might be Outdated

Clarence Thomas, a Supreme Court Justice, stated that the federal laws that cover the ban of sale and cultivation of the marijuana plant are inconsistent, and make the national ban unnecessary, CNBC informed.

One of the most conservative justices on the Supreme Court in a statement said that a ban of interstate use or cultivating of marijuana might be unnecessary or adequate to back the piecemeal approach of the federal government.

The decision of the Supreme Court to drop a case linked to tax deductions that were claimed by Colorado medical marijuana dispensary urged Justice Thomas to issue a statement to generally address federal marijuana legislation.
