Supreme Court Drops Transgender Bathroom Case, Handing Victory to LGBT Movement

The Supreme Court on Monday dropped an appeal that posed a challenge to the right of transgender students to use whichever bathroom they choose, CNBC informed.

The move by the country’s highest court handed another victory to the LGBT rights movement.

The Supreme Court said that it will not take the case that involves Gavin Grimm and the Gloucester Country school board. The board banned Grimm to use the boys bathroom in the school, a policy later applied to all the other transgender students that go in that school.

Grimm was born as female but started identifying as male after his freshman year.
