Senate Republicans on Friday pushed a bill to reinforce the rocket defense system of Israel, most commonly known as the Iron Dome, Fox News informed.
The legislation is aimed to curb an effort of Democrats who are attempting to block another weapons sale to the Jewish state.
US President Biden stated that America will send aid to the Gaza Strip but would do that in a way that will not allow for Hamas to restock the military arsenal.
However, Republicans did not agree to this decision of the president.
Republican Senators Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, Bill Hagerty and Marco Rubio, have asked all the funds intended for humanitarian aid in Gaza to be redistributed to help Israel reinforce the rocket defense systems.
