Kamala Harris, US Vice President held a meeting with Moon Jae-in, President of South Korea, and jointly appeared to give a statement, while President Joe Biden was not part of the meeting, Fox News informed.
The meeting was rather strange due to the fact that a US Vice President holding a bilateral meeting with a Foreign Leader and later jointly appearing for a statement is quite unusual.
A photo-op was also included in the event right before the meeting in which Harris and Moon are talking and walking.
The meeting of Harris and Moon was not the first time the Vice President holding talks alone with the world leaders.
The Vice President also talked on the phone with King Abdullah II of Jordan on Thursday, to speak about the cease-fire between Israel and Palestine in Gaza Strip.
After Harris assumed her position as Vice President she also held talks with Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President of France Emanuel Macron and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
