The former attorney of President Donald Trump made a statement on Twitter that he is praying former first lady Michelle Obama will “bring back unity to our country” with her words, The Hill reported.
Cohen’s latest remarks have clearly shown that he has changed his position regarding the President.
“Watching Becoming @MichelleObama on and pray that her words bring back unity to our country,” Cohen said in his Sunday night tweet, as he referred to a special on ABC about Obama’s “Becoming” memoir.
The former first lady openly shared her desire for empowerment and uplifting of young people in a Sunday night interview on ABC, especially in a period when there is such division in U.S. politics.
Mrs. Obama also commented on the election of Donald Trump as president, adding that it was not easy to accept it.
“Being the commander-in-chief is a hard job,” the former first lady said. “And you need to have discipline and you need to read and you need to be knowledgeable. You need to know history. You need to be careful with your words.”
“But voters make those decisions,” she added. “And once the voters have spoken, you know, we live with what we live with.”
