While President Biden advised Middle Eastern leaders to accept freedom in order to unleash the full potential of their nations, he also noted that it is occasionally “not fun” when people criticize their government, Fox News informed.

At the GCC+3 Summit Meeting on Saturday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Biden remarked, that basic freedoms are fundamental to who they are as Americans.

He also said that it is in their DNA and also because they are aware that nations with populations that are allowed to reach their full potential—where women have equal rights and can contribute to the creation of robust economies, resilient societies, and modern, effective militaries—will be the ones to succeed in the future.

Biden said that he has also received a lot of criticism over the years and that it is unpleasant.

However, creativity is only possible when people can talk freely and without inhibition, he pointed.

While promising that his country is dedicated in establishing a great future in the area and not going anywhere, Biden said that no nation gets it right all of the time and mentioned that the US is no different in this regard.

Following several discussions about energy production and human rights with King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, Biden gave his remarks.

Saudi Arabia’s production will rise from around 10 million to 13 million barrels per day, the crown prince declared.

However, Prince Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Arabian minister of foreign affairs, told reporters on Saturday that the president’s talks over the weekend did not include a discussion of oil production.

The signing of a bilateral Partnership Framework for Advancing Clean Energy, including new Saudi investments to “accelerate the energy transition and address the effects of climate change,” was also noted in the discussions, according to the White House. Biden reportedly applauded this development
