Former President Donald Trump reacted to Michael Sussmann’s evidence that Hillary Clinton ordered the transmission of false information to the media suggesting a clandestine communications route between the Trump Organization and a Russian bank, Fox News informed.
Trump told Fox News Digital that the Russia investigation is “one of the worst political scandals in history” and that he will “never” fully regain his “reputation.”
Former Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook testified in the first criminal trial stemming from Special Counsel John Durham’s years-long probe into the origins of the Trump-Russia investigation on Friday, saying Clinton approved and “accepted” to share flawed data with the media.
James Baker, the former FBI General Counsel testified on Thursday that the bureau looked at data alleging a Trump connection to a Kremlin-linked bank and found “nothing there.”
Trump talked to Fox News Saturday saying that the Russian collusion probe was one of the biggest political scandals in the US history, adding that for three years he had to defend himself from the crooked people, and that damaged his reputation, and he cannot fully get it back.
Trump continued that if US had real leadership and not people like Mitch McConnell and Bill Barr, they might have done something about that.
Trump claimed that the resources committed to probing him and members of his 2016 campaign diverted law enforcement and intelligence authorities from what “could have been a genuine risk with Russia.”
The FBI launched a counterintelligence probe into whether nominee Donald Trump and members of his team conspired or coordinated with Russia to affect the 2016 election in July 2016.
After Trump was elected, the FBI investigation known as Crossfire Hurricane was handed over to Special Counsel Robert Mueller.
On May 17, 2017, Mueller was appointed.
Mueller’s investigation, which lasted nearly two years, found no evidence of criminal collusion or coordination between Trump’s team and Russian officials during the presidential election in 2016.
