Gates, Soros Use COVID to Impose ‘Total Control’, German Cardinal Accuses

A high-ranking judge at the Vatican court has sparked controversy last week claiming the likes of George Soros and Bill Gates are using the coronavirus pandemic to create a global “surveillance state.”

In an interview with Austria’s St. Boniface Institute, which will be available in the course of this week, the German cardinal Gerhard Ludwig Mueller stressed that the will of the super-rich to snatch an opportunity to bring people in line strongly contributed to the chaos and turmoil the Covid-19 pandemic has sparked, adding to the chaos caused by the lack of knowledge about the danger of the virus itself and its transmissibility.

According to cardinal Mueller, the world’s financial elites are using the pandemic and the government-imposed restrictions to establish a global surveillance state and subject people to total control.

The cardinal named Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, billionaire George Soros and the Davos Economic Forum’s head Klaus Schwab among those behind the alleged global control scheme, underscoring that wealthy people see the pandemic as an opportunity to push through their agenda.

The former Regensburg bishop, who once headed the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, accused global financial elites of trying to create a “new man” in their own image and likeness, which has nothing to do with democracy, and stressed he’d never wish such a fate on himself.

He also confirmed that the short video showing a small part of the interview St. Boniface published on Twitter is genuine.

Cardinal Mueller’s statements sparked a wave of criticism when they surfaced in the German media, which quickly branded them “conspiracy theories,” with experts claiming they can be interpreted as a comparison between the modern governments’ actions and those of the Nazis, thus playing down their crimes, and that the mere mention of Soros in such a context can be seen as anti-Semitic.

The German Bishops’ Conference noted that the cardinal made such statements as a private person, while the Vatican has not commented at all on Mueller’s statements.
