The press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov called such information an empty and groundless escalation of tension.
Peskov stressed that Russia poses no threat to anyone. At the same time, the Russian diplomat did not rule out the possibility of further provocations by the West. He warned that attempts to resolve the crisis in southeastern Ukraine by force would have the most severe consequences.
Peskov also assured that Russia is making every possible effort to help Ukraine resolve the conflict in Donbass, while remaining committed to the Normandy format and the Minsk agreements.
