RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on five polls, ranging from 44% (Quinnipiac, Trafalgar) to 47% (Politico, Reuters). Biden’s disapproval rating averages 51% today (same as Monday), making him 6 points net negative.

RON’S COMMENT: All four Hill leaders have steeply net negative ratings among all voters nationiwde…. But––Democratic Congressional leaders are much more popular among their own party’s rank-and-file than Republican Congressional leaders are among their own party’s rank-and-file–– 

  • Among Democrats, Pelosi is 77% approve/14% disapprove
  • Among Democrats, Schumer is 63% approve/16% disapprove 
  • Among Republicans, McCarthy is 46% approve/29% disapprove 
  • Among Republicans, McConnell is 35% approve/45% disapprove 

ABORTION LAWS

Texas LawThe Texas State Legislature passed a law banning abortions after 6 weeks of pregnancy, and allowing people to sue healthcare providers for facilitating abortions. Do you approve or disapprove of this law?

RON’S COMMENT: 17% of Democrats, 63% of Republicans and 36% of independents approve of the Texas abortion law.
 
Mississippi LawEarlier the Mississippi State Legislature passed a law banning abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. Do you approve or disapprove of this law?

RON’S COMMENT: The Mississippi abortion law does much better than the Texas law. 20% of Democrats, 68% of Republicans and 46% of independents approve of the Mississippi law.
