Texas’ abortion whistleblower website was bombed Shrek porn memes and tonnes of fake reports from angry TikTok and Reddit users that have joined the trending pro-choice online campaign against the controversial anti-abortion law Texas enacted this week.
The website was encouraging users to send anonymous tips about suspected violators of the law.
Anti-abortion NGO Texas Right to Life’s website was created a month ago to help enforce the law that would fine to women and people or institutions aiding them in aborting an embryo older that six weeks with a minimum of $10,000. Whistleblower can use the website’s online form to report doctors or clinics they believe violated the law along with images or documents as an evidence for their anonymous tip.
In the reaction of pro-choice activists adamant to stand up to ‘Greg Abbott’s idiots’ and crash the website, the system was bombarded with hundreds porn memes and fake reports as numerous TikTok clips show, with one video calling to action gathering over 210,000 likes on TikTok alone.
The fake reports attack was accompanied by multiple “Shrek porn” images posted by another TikToker whose wife aborted their baby without consulting him while another activist created an iOS shortcut and Python script that allow any user to send the website thousands of reports a day.
