Ron DeSantis, the Governor of Florida sent a letter this week addressed to the Biden administration, requesting it to stop the resettlement of illegal migrants in Florida, Fox News informed.
DeSantis also argued that the Biden administration should either deport the illegal immigrants or sent them to states that support the defiance to the immigration laws.
DeSantis sent the letter to Alejandro Mayorkas, the Homeland Security Secretary, to object to the lack of action displayed by the administration in the enforcement of the immigration law and in the efforts to protect Floridians from the constant release of illegal immigrants in the state.
About 212,000 immigrants were apprehended at the border in July. While around 95,000 who were single adults were sent back under the Title 42 public health protections, the Biden administration fails to remove the children that are unaccompanied or some of the immigrant families under the same order.
