Andrew Cuomo the embattled New York Governor is set to leave his office after the scandal that involved sexual harassment, but regardless of his early resignation, he might still be impeached, Fox News informed.
If he faces impeachment, he will be unable to assume the gubernatorial role once again.
The NY Assembly Judiciary Committee is finishing up an impeachment probe into sexual harassment allegations Cuomo is faced with, and some House Democrats are determined to proceed with this process.
Julia Salazar, a State Senator said that she is backing the idea of pursuing the process of impeachment against Andrea Cuomo, just hours after he revealed his resignation.
Salazar used Twitter to say that they have a responsibility to perform a full process of impeachment and that anything less than that would not hold Cuomo accountable or prevent his misdemeanor to be repeated.
