The White House did not reject a report which said that the Biden administration is thinking of using federal regulatory powers to push for institutions to mandate Americans to get fully vaccinated, Fox News informed.
According to a White House official, the Biden administration is in a process of discussions to explore different options on how to proceed with boosting vaccinations in the United States.
The official, however, noted that any ideas that were reported were in the early stages of discussion and were pre-decisional, adding that there are no policy decisions that are imminent at this time.
The statement arrives after the Washington Post informed on Thursday that the Biden administration is thinking of withholding federal funds and using some federal powers in order to incentivize Americans to receive the vaccine against Covid-19.
