Top officials of the Biden administration are divided on the issue of the origins of Covid-19, but the number who now are persuaded that it could have escaped a lab from Wuhan is increased, Fox News informed.
Although the lab-leak theory was first ridiculed, now it seems like senior officials of the administration are starting to suspect a possible leaking scenario, although most experts maintain on their positions that Covid-19 jumped from animals to humans, a CNN report said on Monday.
Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director-general of World Health Organization, on Thursday, said that it was early to reject the theory that the Covid-19 leaked from the Institute of Virology in Wuhan, and urged China officials to disclose the state of the labs before and at the very beginning of the pandemic.
