Donald Trump, the former US President has easily won the 2024 Republican presidential nomination poll at the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) event held in Texas, Fox News informed.
Trump, who said that he might make another running bid in 2024 to win the presidential position, got 70% of the ballots that were cast in what was an anonymous poll, the results that were announced by the CPAC said.
Compared to the primary match-up straw poll in Orlando in February where he scored 55% of the support, this is a big jump.
In his address at the Dallas gathering, Trump thanked everyone for the incredible support.
The distant second place was reserved for the Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis who scored 21% of the ballots. Not one from the other 19 potential 2024 White House contenders topped 1%.
