US Capitol Police to Open New Offices in Tampa, San Francisco to Tackle Congress Threats

The US Capitol Police (USCP) is set to open new offices to address the growing threats against Congress members after the January 6 attack on the Capitol, the police agency revealed Tuesday, Fox News informed.

The agency revealed that first office that will open their doors will be in California and Florida, but other states will also get such offices very soon as well, according to Yogananda Pittman, the USCP Chief.

The offices will be opened in order to successfully tackle and investigate threats made towards Congress members.

A follow-up statement has revealed that Tampa and San Francisco are the cities where the offices will be opened due to the fact that these are the areas where most of the threats come from.
