Former Maine Governor Reveals he Will Run for Third Term

midterm elections

Paul LePage, former GOP Governor of Maine, revealed on Monday his bid to run for governor of the state once again, Fox News informed.

LePage has previously served two terms in the role of Governor.

LePage said that Maine is faced with many challenges and that the main thing now is to work towards creating a better future that will be based on fiscal responsibility, individual liberty, and an economy that will empower everyone.

LePage also said that is not acceptable anymore to get bailouts and subsidies from Washington DC.

The former Governor is set to hold a starting event, but it is still not announced when.

LePage was elected governor in 2010 for the first time. He left his post in 2019 and Democrat Janet Mills assumed this position. Mills still hasn’t made an official announcement about her reelection campaign, although she has started fundraising.
