Senate Rules Committee to Hold Hearing in Georgia for Voting Rights Law

The Senate Rules Committee, headed by Senator Amy Klobuchar from Minnesota, revealed on Monday that next month it will visit Georgia in order to hold a hearing on the voting rights issue, Fox News informed.

The hearing set for 19 July, will focus on the controversial new voting rights bill in Georgia, which is endorsed by Republicans as a way to bolster election integrity but harshly criticized by Democrats who consider it a tool for suppressing the voters.
