Silverton Mayor Shane Fuhrman, at a trustee meeting, revealed that the Pledge of Allegiance is set to be suspended because of direct and indirect threats, which made at least one trustee challenge the ruling right before all the attendees recited the pledge, Fox News informed.
According to KDVR, Fuhrman stated that the decision was made because of the inappropriate remarks made at the public meetings as well as the overall animosity and issues that arise in the community.
One trustee has already confronted him describing the decision as “unilateral.” Fuhrman dismissed her concerns and called her to reveal what she based her concerns on.
