Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar from Minnesota on Saturday has rejected claims that the critical race theory is being taught in the public schools, Fox News informed.
Her statement comes amid a nationwide Republican push to ban the theory, which is considered to as controversial framework that analyzes systematic racism in the United States.
Omar took to Twitter to bash Republicans saying that they love to make an outrage over things that are not happening, therefor spinning false narratives.
Omar’s comments arrive one day after the Wisconsin Representative Glenn Grothman pushed a legislation that would ban public schools in the Washington DC to teach the critical race theory.
