Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly claimed that Senator Kamala Harris had “lost” his vote in her run for the presidency, which Harris’s communications director used to mock O’Reilly.
“Somehow we will soldier on,” Lily Adams said with a screenshot of O’Reilly’s remarks on Harris attached to her tweet.
Making an appearance on Good Morning America, Senator Harris announced her plans to run for president in the 2020 elections.
“When I look at this moment in time, I know the American people deserve to have someone who is going to fight for them … and put them in front of self-interest,” she said in an announcement on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, The Hill reported.
Harris has joined the list of high-profile Dems that announced their presidential candidacy following Senators Elizabeth Warren and Kirsten Gillibrand.
Bill O’Reilly, who is a GOP supporter, shared a video on Twitter in which he is saying that Harris, Warren and Gillibrand have very similar policy views, adding that the vote for Harris is lost due to her actions at the hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
“Kamala Harris announced she will run today,” O’Reilly said. “She denied Brett Kavanaugh due process in front of the nation, and in so doing has lost my vote. I could not imagine any American for somebody who does not believe in due process.”
