CNN Poll: Trump’s Approval Rating Hits New Low

The latest poll published by CNN on Monday shows that President Donald Trump’s job as commander-in-chief is approved by a little over a third of the country, The Hill reports.

As little as 39 percent said that they agree Trump is doing a good job, in contrast to the 56 percent who disagree. The poll, carried out by SRSS, shows that the president’s ratings have dropped 6 points since April’s poll, where 44 percent showed support and approval of his job as commander-in-chief. Some five percent said they had no opinion on Trump’s job.

When asked about the 200 days of the president’s term, some 36 percent deemed it a success, and 59 percent said it was a failure.

Around 30 percent of the surveyed stated they had no confidence in anything they hear from the official White House communications team. Some 43 percent said they trust some of it, while 19 percent said they trust most of it. Only 5 percent said they trust all of the information coming from the Trump administration.

The poll was carried out August 3-6, and surveyed a total of 1,018 adults across the U.S. over land lines and cell phones. The margin of error amounts to 3.6 percentage points.
