Peter R. Orszag, Director of the Office of Management and Budget, released a memo directing executive departments and agencies to take specific actions to implement the principles of transparency, participation, and collaboration. This is in response to the Memo issued on January 21, 2009 in which the President instructed the OMB to issue an open Government Directive.
