President Donald Trump on Wednesday accused former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former President Bill Clinton of failing to disarm North Korea, Politico reports.
“After allowing North Korea to research and build Nukes while Secretary of State (Bill C also), Crooked Hillary now criticizes,” the president tweeted Wednesday morning.
After Hillary Clinton lost the election and retreated for a while from the political scene, she has now started her book tour for the memoir of the 2016 election named “What Happened.” The former secretary of state has been quite critical of Trump’s presidency thus far, especially on his handling of North Korea issue.
While giving his debut speech to the United Nations General Assembly on Tuesday, Trump sent harsh criticism towards the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, saying “Rocket Man is on a suicide mission for himself and for his regime.”
The regime with its threatening rhetoric has increased its aggressive stance since Trump’s taken office, launching multiple ballistic missile tests as well as one nuclear test.
North Korea’s test has shown that the rogue nation’s missile technology has made a great progress as it can now easily reach the territory of U.S., however it is still not clear whether the regime has come up with a technology that can minimize the nuclear warhead so it can easily fit its long-range rockets.
Trump assured that he will not let North Korea develop this kind of nuclear weapon that the regime will use to strike the U.S.
North Korea’s pursuit of the nuclear program caused many problems with all previous U.S. presidents as the dynasty did not commit to handing over the nuclear plans of the country.
Former president Bill Clinton has even signed an agreement with the regime for freezing its nuclear weapon program, but the accord ultimately failed
While the former President Barack Obama held office, the U.S. adopted a policy of strategic patience, but Trump has declared it as “over” since coming into office.
