US President Joe Biden issued a warning to all US citizens that Covid-19 is still not vanquished, describing getting vaccinated as the most patriotic thing, Newsweek informed.
Biden said this in a speech during the 4th of July event in the White House.
Biden also mentioned the new powerful variants of the Covid-19 such as the Delta variant, saying that the best defense against these variants is to simply receive the vaccine.
The White House prepared a BBQ event with around 1,000 guests to commemorate the United States independence and point out its progress in the fight against this pandemic.
In his speech Biden signaled a great progress from last year, but cautioned on the dangers of the new variants.
