First post-Inaugural polling average
RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on four polls, ranging widely from 48% (Rasmussen/Slanted) to 56% (Morning Consult) to 57% (Reuters) to 63% (The Hill). Biden’s disapproval rating averages 39% today. More findings:
- In The Hill poll, Biden’s approval rating is 94% among Democrats, 62% among independents and 30% among Republicans.
- In the Reuters poll, Biden’s approval rating is 93% among Democrats, 52% among independents and 21% among Republicans.
- In the Morning Consult poll, Biden’s approval rating is 91% among Democrats, 49% among independents and 18% among Republicans.
TRUMP IMPEACHMENT, CONVICTION
Among adults nationwide
Impeachment: Do you approve or disapprove of the House of Representatives decision earlier this month to impeach former President Trump for incitement of insurrection?
Approve: 56%
Disapprove: 42%
RON’S COMMENT: 92% of Democrats, 52% of independents and 13% of Republicans approve of Trump’s impeachment.
Conviction: Do you want the U.S. Senate to convict or not convict Donald Trump on this impeachment charge?
Convict: 52%
Not convict: 44%
RON’S COMMENT: 87% of Democrats, 46% of independents and 11% of Republicans approve of Trump’s
Bar from holding office in the future: Would you favor or oppose the U.S. Senate barring Donald Trump from holding any federal office in the future?
Favor barring Trump: 57%
Oppose barring Trump: 41%
RON’S COMMENT: 90% of Democrats, 51% of independents and 19% of Republicans approve of barring Trump from holding any federal office in the future. Note that while Republicans strongly oppose impeaching, convicting or barring Trump from holding office, more favor barring him from holding office.
2020 ELECTION
Among adults nationwide
Do you believe Joe Biden won this election fair and square, or do you believe that he only won it due to voter fraud?
Fair and square: 65%
Due to voter fraud: 32%
RON’S COMMENT: A big majority of voters believe Biden won fair and square; 98% of Democrats, 62% of independents and 24% of Republicans agree….Of those who say Biden’s win was due to voter fraud: 63% say it’s time to move on and 32% say they will never accept Biden as president.
