RON’S COMMENT: Today’s average is based on four polls that were taken since the midterm elections, ranging from 37% (Reuters) to 45% (Rasmussen). Biden’s disapproval rating averages 54% today (same as Nov. 8), putting him at 12 points net negative.

RON’S COMMENT: This poll shows the gap between Trump and DeSantis has narrowed to 14 points. All others are in single digits…. Interestingly, Trump does better with GOP primary voters who call themselves “moderates” than those who call themselves “conservatives” (53% vs. 45%). He does much better among those who do not have college degrees (57%) than those who do (32%). He also does better with nonmilitary households than with military households (49% to 38%). Poll by Politico/Morning Consult

RON’S COMMENT: This poll shows DeSantis beating Trump head to head among Republicans. It also shows DeSantis beating Trump 34-21 among independents. Poll by Economist/YouGov

  • Yes: 26%
  • No: 57%
  • Not sure: 17%

RON’S COMMENT: Among only Democrats, 43% want Biden to run again, 32% don’t want him to run again and 25% are not sure. 
 
Biden age: This week, Joe Biden will turn 80 years old. Do you think Joe Biden’s age might make it too difficult to do the work the presidency requires, or do you his age helps Joe Biden to have the experience and wisdom to do a good job? 

  • Biden’s age makes it more difficult to do the work the presidency requires: 58% 
  • Biden’s age gives him the experience and wisdom to do a good job: 15% 
  • Biden’s age has no impact on his performance as president: 17% 
  • Not sure: 10% 

RON’S COMMENT: A solid majority of voters believe Biden’s age makes it more difficult to do the work the presidency requires. And: 39% of Democrats, 51% of independents and 75% of Republicans agree. 

FEELINGS ON MIDTERM ELECTIONS

RON’S COMMENT: While 63% of Democrats are happy and satisfied about the elections, only 20% of Republicans are.

RON’S COMMENT: On inflation, 55% of Democrats, 68% of independents and 88% of Republicans said it was a very important voting issue for them…. On abortion, 71% of Democrats, 45% of independents and 33% of Republicans said it was very important…. On crime, 43% of Democrats, 52% of independents and 74% of Republicans said it was very important…. On national security, 47% of Democrats, 58% of independents and 73% of Republicans said it was very important.
