Protecting girls’ sports from biological male transgender athletes has become a campaign topic for Republicans throughout the nation as they fight to retake control of Congress next month, Fox News informed.
At least one gubernatorial candidate has recently brought up the issue in a campaign commercial.
An argument between the two American political parties over the subject of biological males who identify as females playing against women in women’s sports has drawn widespread attention, and some people think it may help Republicans win the November 8 election.
According to Penny Nance, CEO and president of Concerned Women for America, which is launching a bus tour to raise awareness of the issue in five crucial states, voters understand that male athletes competing in their sport have stolen female athletes’ scholarships, trophies, and dignity. They will take this to the polls and make their voices heard.
Republicans and Democrats disagree on how to approach the problem; the left defends the practice as affirming to transgender people, while the right maintains that it is unfair to pair up young women and males in female leagues.
Republicans have pledged to “defend fairness by ensuring that only women can compete in women’s sports” if they retake the majority in the House next month, according to the GOP’s “Commitment to America” agenda, which was outlined in a plan released last month by House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif.
A new commercial featuring 12-time All-American female swimmer Riley Gaines, who claimed that men participating in women’s sports are stealing girls’ athletic goals after tying with a biological guy at the NCAA national championships, was released earlier this week by Gov. Kristi Noem’s, R-S.D.
Democrats have mainly remained mute on the topic that has drawn condemnation from many Americans, in contrast to Republicans who have been outspoken in their support for banning biological males from competing against female athletes.
