Viral Video Compares Crowd Sizes at Biden and Trump Midterm Events

A video has gone viral that compares the audience sizes of recent rallies held by US President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump in Pennsylvania this week.

Trump and his supporters are famously obsessed with crowd size. The video was created by a Conservative commentator and claims that Trump’s rally had a bigger crowd.

How legitimate this is remains to be seen.

There have been multiple scandals of Trump’s inner circle making dubious claims about crowd sizes at Trump’s events, most famously, at his January 2017 inauguration. Trump’s inauguration was scantly attended. But his crew claimed it was packed.

Trump’s adviser Kellyanne Conway told the NBC host Chuck Todd at the time that the debunked statements were not wrong, but merely based on “alternative facts.”

This week, Trump made his first major address since the FBI searched his Florida estate Mar-a-Lago. The “Save America” rally drew supporters to the Mohegan Sun Arena. He used it as a speech to support Republicans seeking office in Pennsylvania, including Senate hopeful Mehmet Oz and governor hopeful Doug Mastriano.

He also attacked federal law enforcement and made unfounded claims about Democratic Senate hopeful John Fetterman, saying he uses illegal drugs. He also accused Biden’s administration of “weaponizing the FBI and Justice Department like never before” and described the court-authorized search of his Florida residence as the FBI “breaking into the homes of their political opponents.”

Benny Johnson, a conservative TV reporter for Newsmax, said on Twitter that Trump’s rally had more people than Biden’s that same week.

Biden gave a speech in Pennsylvania on Tuesday at Wilkes University, which is a small college with a student body of only 2,000 plus. Biden criticized Republicans for claiming to be the party of law and order while attacking law enforcement for the FBI raid, and also while backing Trump supporters who violently stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
