Cincinnati Bar Shooting Leaves Nine Injured

Buffalo shooting leaves 13 dead

In a shooting early on Sunday in a Cincinnati bar, nine individuals were injured, according to officials.

According to Assistant Chief Michael John of the Cincinnati Police Department (CPD), none of the gunshot victims were in severe condition while they were being taken to a local hospital.

John said that during the altercation in the city’s Over-The-Rhine area, a cop fired one shot at a suspect.

“We have one Cincinnati police officer that discharged one round, and we do not know if that officer struck the individual that he was firing the gun at,” John said at the media briefing, as reported by The Hill. “What I can tell you is the individual he was shooting at was actively firing a firearm at that time.”

Authorities said that it’s not clear whether there was a lone suspect present.

The Hill has contacted the Cincinnati Police Department in an effort to learn more about the event.

John said that a second incident in the city’s Central Business District left two persons hurt.
