Top US Delegates Visit Ukraine, Promise to Continue Support

On Saturday, top congressional delegates from the United States committed to work to maintain support for the campaign against Russia when they met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv, Reuters reported.

The delegates trip, which included Rep. Adam Smith, the leader of the House Armed Services Committee, is the most recent in a string of prominent Americans who have visited Ukraine.

A total of 16 high mobility artillery rocket systems have already been sent to Ukraine, according to U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, who announced this on Wednesday.

The delegation’s statement on Saturday did not specifically mention the delivery of weaponry. Smith reportedly told Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, which is supported by the United States, that Washington and its allies were prepared to deliver additional multiple launch rocket systems.
